Iruma kicks off from the wardrobe with such force it rocks back, almost toppling over, and soars across the room. He lands on his new nest with an explosion of blankets and feathers, growling low in his throat whenever his claws get caught in the fabric.
There’s no way these humans will let him stay after they realise what a useless demon Iruma is. But tonight he has a new den and a full stomach and clean skin and, for now, that is everything.

There was a sensation like someone was flipping through the pages of a book, but inside of her brain. Bits and flashes of memories popped up. Momo’s head spun, flashing white-hot-red, then a soothing rush of black. She looked at her hand, where the slime yokai had disappeared.
“Hello? Greetings hi hello? Welcome hey whatsup good morning! Good afternoon! Sup hi hi hi situationally appropriate greetings please take care of me!”
Was she going insane? She’d had concussions before, but never like this. Could a concussion make someone hallucinate a yokai?
“Yokai? Ghost slug me?” A memory of a classmate laughing riotously played in her head. “Hahahahaha! Ghost dead spirits fake bogus phony! Stupid.”

Summary
So. She was maybe possibly a teeny tiny bit obsessed with Okarun’s wings. She couldn’t help it. She liked Okarun and she liked his wings, and she really wanted to see them stretched out, except Okarun always kept them folded away as some sort of psychological tease for her specifically.
Momo wants nothing more than to fly with her crush. Unfortunately, Okarun doesn't fly. Ever. Momo is determined to get to the bottom of this.
