Summary
Hazel Turner, and her brother Matt are Wardens of the White Council, under Harry Dresden's command, though they mostly keep the Memphis area safe. They didn't have ordinary lives, but they weren't exactly special in the grand scheme of things. Just regular Wizards.
Suddenly, an ashen haired woman with a scar over her eye appeared in Hazel's front yard, and her life became much, much more complicated.
This begins not too long after White Night. Expect Harry Dresden to take a backseat in the first arc, or book of this, with minor mentions instead of actual appearances, as I introduce our major characters.
From Ciri's side of things, this takes place before the Witcher 3.

Expect misunderstandings, convenient accidents and lots and lots of lamenting by a protagonist who insists that none of this was his idea.
No prior knowledge of Warhammer 40,000 is required, though readers familiar with Ciaphas Cain may notice that some habits are impossible to unlearn, even with a wand in hand.
