They'd all agreed, she was supposed to be on standby. Just a getaway car. A glorified ambulance for any injured that might go down during the battle for control of the United Republic of Nations.
No direct engagement, the chief of police had warned her just days before Kuvira's early arrival. Or else.
Suyin in particular insisted she stay far, far back. Because, when it came to Kuvira and (Name)'s deteriorating friendship... they were the equivalent to a large barrel of blasting jelly with a very short fuse. 11 years of back-and-forth had borne a special kind of bitter resentment. The kind that (Name) could only quench physically. And a sentiment that Kuvira was all too happy to oblige with.
So, of course, (Name)'s engagement would go far beyond just the attack. Even if that engagement would bring with it change that she'd never willingly signed up for.
