Within the peace he fought so hard for, Naruto has found himself wondering what happiness looks like for him. There’s an itch, a feeling under his skin that he's missing something, that he just can't shake.
When he gets a letter from Sasuke saying he’ll be home in two days with intel about Amegakure's new leadership, Naruto's routine is shattered--and maybe it's for the better.* * *
But then he was thinking about Sasuke’s mouth, the cut of his smirk and the way no, Naruto definitely had thought about that. And he’d thought about it when he smiled soft too, the way his mouth looked so different and yet still so unfairly beautiful. He hadn’t thought about kissing him though. The thought had the room shrinking. Shit. No, he was definitely not thinking about it. Not about how Sasuke would respond if he ever did kiss him. A wild variety of scenarios immediately flashed through his head and Naruto stopped breathing.
Where the fuck, he bent over and tried to inhale, had that come from?

Summary
At least the world outside of Konoha wasn't this cruel, or maybe it was and always will be. But Sasuke's world has always been Naruto after it all ended or maybe from before, so why would he care about anything else? But now his own world doesn't want him.
It is similar to the feeling of your own body not wanting an organ of yours, he thinks. The organ will try, again and again but at some point it will give up. And one day its existence will cease to exist.Bookmarked by Tulpania

Naruto is (or was) the best friend of Sakura. They were almost always seen together whether fighting, laughing, or completely ignoring each other for whatever reason.
But what most of their fights revolves around was Uchiha Sasuke… in their teenage years before the war and before the angered Uchiha came back to Konoha.It’s three years later when Sakura is pregnant with her and her husbands child, where it is decided Naruto would be the godmother.
