“No no no. Will! Will!”
Mike watches horrified as a trail of blood makes its way down his nose, past his lips and drips down his chin. He pats himself in an attempt to produce a handkerchief or a piece of cloth but comes up empty. He doesn’t wait, doesn’t ask the other two people—he raises his hand and wipes off the blood with the sleeve of his shirt. It doesn’t stop. The blood doesn’t stop.
Will’s face is unchanging but it doesn’t take long for blood to start pouring out of his eyes and ears. El had witnessed that when she’d gone to rescue him. She had given him a run down but seeing it with his own eyes makes Mike feel helpless. He’s not El. He can’t help Will. He’s not what Will needs. He never is what Will needs.
“Will,” his voice falters. His loses some of the confidence because that’s his best friend Will Byers and he can’t lose him to the woods, to the monsters, to his own selfishness or to the world.
“I’m sorry that I lied.”

Summary
That was what stuck out to Will. Vecna was One, who was Henry, who was human. No matter what he did or was doing, under everything in him was still a human, and maybe was once a scared little boy like Will himself was.
“I guess we’re all scared of something, right? Even Henry.” Will nodded along to Max’s words. An idea formed in his head that he already hated but one that could help the rest of them.
Will stared back at the board, the room's three occupants quiet as the conversation stilled. Will knew how to fight back now, knew how to find what Henry was afraid of and how to get back into his mind without worrying about Vecna scaring him again. However for it to work, he had to find his mom and Jonathan.
Or, fixing Will's coming out scene and he only tells Joyce and Jonathan,

Summary
The dance was going alright, she supposed– as well as any middle school dance could be. Max had slow danced with Lucas, and was hanging out with her new friends.
So even if the decorations were a bit cheesy and most of her classmates were awkwardly hovering, Max was actually having fun.
She was standing at the table the party claimed, listening to Lucas and Dustin bicker about something pointless, when she saw Will slip out of the gym. Max looked around to see if anyone else had noticed, but with Lucas and Dustin preoccupied, and Mike and El still dancing, it appeared she was the only one.
