But Louis isn’t going to point out how often he’s been breaking their separation arrangement in front of both their lawyers.
Louis and Lestat are terrible at being married, but they may be even worse at staying divorced.

After all these years, that name still pricks. He must work harder to neutralize the name his future brother-in-law shares with the person he has been trying to forget since 2014.
Lestat grabs her laptop, suddenly very interested in learning the attendees. He starts scrolling, stopping only when he sees— "Louis du Lac?"
"Yep," Lily sighs. "That's my stepbrother."
Lestat almost drops the laptop.

Summary
It shouldn’t shock him when he steps onto the bus to see the girl from outside the show on Gabrielle’s lap on one of the pull-out couches, but it does. All the signs were there, and he’s not, though many would beg to disagree, stupid; something in him was, against all odds, still hoping this would be a forgettable encounter. Painful, yes, but forgettable. Another to add to the tally, nothing more.
The girl looks up at him, and her eyes widen like she’s been caught. Because she has been caught, he tells himself. Is this not strange to her? She still has his autograph on her arm in Sharpie. She told him she was going to get it tattooed.
