“You gonna say something?” Katsuki muttered “You’ve been following me around like some fishy ghost since I got here.”
The Mer didn’t answer.
Instead, he let out a soft trill before gliding closer. His tail shimmered like ink in the dim water, His eyes never left Katsuki’s.
Katsuki didn’t move.
The lights flickered.
And the Mer lunged.

Katsuki Bakugou never expected to land a position at Yuuei—the world-renowned research and rehabilitation facility for Merfolk. His job is simple on paper: monitor tank conditions, study diet patterns, and stay out of trouble. But nothing at Yuuei is simple, especially not the elusive, intelligent Merfolk who watch more than they speak. As Katsuki settles into his new routine, he begins to uncover just how little the world understands about the creatures beneath the surface, and how one in particular seems to understand him a little too well.

Summary
Izuku has long been of the belief that, much like his quirklessness, he is a part of the 35% of the world’s population without a soulmate. He has made his peace with that. It is just another sad fact of his life and one among the many ways in which he is fundamentally unloveable.
This is only cemented when his mentor and mother get together, soon followed by half of his new classmates at UA, like the universe is shoving his perpetual loneliness in his face.
And then he discovers that his teacher is his second favorite hero, Eraserhead, and he irrevocably falls in love. It is not a gradual fall, but a steep decline into apparent madness, and despite how he does his best to ignore it, he eventually resigns himself to waiting (miserably) until graduation and beyond to attempt to woo the man of his dreams, if at all possible.
Good things come to those who wait, as they say. And Izuku's willing to wait as long as it takes.
But maybe he won’t have to, in the end. Maybe Izuku's love life isn't so hopeless, after all?

Summary
Midoriya Izuku didn't receive any internship offers after the Sports Festival despite how well he performed. With all of his classmates preparing to leave for their week-long internships, he thinks it would be worth asking his teacher to take him on for an internship since he won't have a class to teach.
He didn't expect this to be what his internship with Eraserhead to be like.
