Or: I REALLY need to stop dedicating a quarter of the fic to the operating principles of laser guns that wouldn't even work in real life
2/27/23: I'm abandoning this for the time being. I might rewrite it in a few months, but as of now I can't really figure out how to continue the story and go back and fix all the problems I made in the existing chapters. Quite frankly, it'd be too much of a pain in the arse to fix for me to feel like salvaging it and finishing it out right now. Anyone who wants to do anything with this can, you don't need to ask.
