"You bastard!" Tei screams— grabbing him by his collar.
(It reminds him of his Father: it reminds him of the calm room.)
Daiki doesn't want to go home— not yet, Ikeda thinks. He's not doing that— not in front of all these people. If he becomes that... Thing, if he's reduced to that state Noriko is as good as dead.
The thought helps him focus.
Tei shouts again at the lack of response, "I can't believe you— Daiki, I... I trusted you." His voice breaks a bit, he's trying to stare Ikeda in the eyes despite his vision. But Ikeda is solely trained on his raised fist. Ready and waiting— instinctually curled.
Shit. Shit. Shit.
(For a second, his Father is the one gripping him— angry and violent. He needs to calm him down, that way: it'll hurt less.)
(So Daiki does what he always does when he pushes his Father too far and wants to escape the consequences of his own actions.)
(He fawns.)
Or, Ikeda Daiki is apart of the Bleeding— the trial goes a lot different then everyone was expecting.
Ikeda suffers the consequences.

Summary
“Right. So, um...what Maekawa said during the class trial about you and Tei. Is that true?” Yaitabashi asks. letting his curiosity get the better of him. “Are you and Tei boyfriends?”
Yaitabashi isn't sure what sort of response he's expecting out of Ikeda. A lot of people, himself included, consider romance as a private matter. Tei and Ikeda are close, but they aren't as affectionate with each other as some of the other duos in here. There's certainly something going on between them, but Yaitabashi isn't sure what. He's awfully curious to know, even if Ikeda doesn't feel entirely comfortable opening up yet.
Instead, Ikeda retches. “I– eugh! Of course not! Me and Tei?! Eugh– eugh!”
(Or, Yaitabashi and Ikeda discuss the topic of romance. Takes place during Chapter 3.)
