I found a Tumblr prompt that was talking about that feeling you get when a character suffers and you want to help them but they’re not real. I wanted to invoke that feeling but also to invoke the conflicting feeling of I wanna keep reading bc the story is entertaining. Basically helplessness + entertainment. It’s weird idk how to put it in words but hopefully I did a halfway decent job.
