It's a Havoc and Scott thing. It's a sad thing. But I bailed in the end and made it less sad than originally intended, yet bittersweet. Dad Jeff gets to feature because he loves Scott so much and understands him well. John gets to feature even more for much of the same reasons... with a twist. Scott gets through a wringer (nothing graphic) and needs a hug. Fuse needs a hug. Havoc, too, needs a hug.

Summary
Scott had jet fuel in his blood and the horizon in his eyes, he was everything Lucy had seen in the very best pilots she had watched all those years they had spent on base.
It wasn’t that she needed to follow him, she knew he was more than capable of looking after himself wherever he ended up.
It was just that she missed having her whole brood in arms reach, even if she knew she had to let them go to live their own lives.
It was the Generals that had used that to their advantage.

February each year is a bit of a bad month for me as my mum died in this month be it quite a few years ago.... okay so the previous sentence probably isn't making much sense, BUT... I just couldn’t allow JMount74’s story to end there… I had to have a happy ending because you see, two words that Scott says in her story, is what my mum said before she died… ‘I’m tired’. I didn’t get my happy ending, so I want Decisions to have one. Please read JMount74’s story here: Decisions - JMount74 https://archiveofourown.org/works/62613421 before reading this or it won’t make a lot of sense. It’s a really powerful short story in it’s own right. I just couldn’t let it end there, I need confirmed happy endings in February….
