One day, when Midoriya and Bakugou are training, Midoriya lets it slip that Sir Nighteye told him he wasn't good enough for One for All. When Katsuki gets angry, Midoriya also lets it slip that All Might told him quirkless people can't be heroes... right before leaving him alone on a rooftop. Suffice to say, Bakugou is more than a little pissed off.

“Hey, hey, slow down,” Katsuki swings his legs over the bed, grabbing his wallet from the nightstand and shoving it into the baggy pocket of his sweatpants. Izuku must have lost someone tonight. It happens; heroes aren’t perfect. It always hurts, especially for someone like Izuku who wants to save them all. “Where are you? I’ll come get you-”
“I’m- I’m dying, Katsuki. I- I can’t lie to you,” He sucks in a wet breath of air, “anyone else, but I-” he chokes on his words again and Katsuki’s knees feel weak. He blinks and he’s sitting on the edge of the bed.
