Summary
It was an absolutely shitty day, to say the least.
First up, he found out about the fact that anomalies exist, science is fake (or rather, far from concrete), and his beliefs, oh those essential ideas he believed from childhood to now, completely shattered. Oh, and don't forget the fact that he has to work with said anomalies.
Second, on his way to work, on his literal first day, he immediately encounters a unique, never before seen anomaly and dies around 15 times (he doesn't want to revisit those memories to keep an accurate count). Seriously, what was fate up to?
At least things have calmed down. He's walking through a boring grey hallway that reeks of chemicals, on his way to report the incident, as he should. Hopefully his interview and the orientation will get delayed to give him some time to rest, and to finally process everything that happened. Hopefully.
But work at the Foundation never goes as you hope.
