Summary
The nightmare came. It always did. This time, no gentle hands were there to wake him up, to tell him it wasn’t real. “It was just a dream, Moony,” he would say, and everything would be alright, because it always was, so long as his hands were the ones cradling Remus’ face.
This time, he woke up on his own. Nobody was at his bedside, and Remus was in the most pain he had ever experienced.
Remus Lupin's life was amazing, honestly. He had everything, his best friends, James Potter, Peter Pettigrew, and Regulus Black. Only, his other best friend—who was more than that, at this point—didn't exactly know about the last one. When he did find out, he told Severus Snape about Remus' biggest secret.
He would hold this grudge forever, if he had to, and that was okay.

Remus Lupin arrives at Hogwarts expecting nothing but silence and secrets. Instead, he finds three boys who won’t leave him alone—especially Sirius Black, who laughs like rebellion and looks at him like he’s not broken at all.
“You’re not supposed to care,” Remus mutters, eyes fixed on the floor.
Sirius shrugs, like it’s the easiest thing in the world. “Well, I do. So either hex me or let me stay.”
Remus doesn’t say anything. He doesn’t shove him away, either.
A story about growing up, being known, and being loved anyway.

Summary
A long marauders’ era story following multiple povs through the years of Hogwarts up until the beginning of the second war. A story of friendship, love, loss, and coming back together which mostly follows canon. This story has a lot of love in it, but a lot of pain as well — don’t read expecting an easy happy ending, it’s compliant after all.
