Summary
“Look at him,” he hears Louis say, with a glance up at the headboard. He flicks Lestat’s nipple and grins when he whimpers. “He’s in outer space by now, aren’t you, baby? Nothing in this pretty head.”
Slick inside, he’s so wet, so soft. Dimly Lestat is aware of burying his nose in Louis’s hair, whining like a dog and rutting into him with his rubbery legs. There’s laughter from above him- Daniel, maybe Armand too, he thinks, but it’s warm, affectionate, possibly even admiring. That’s nice.
A new laugh, Louis’s laugh, silver tones caressing his eardrums. “You want more, don’t you?”
That word, more. Such a dangerous thing to offer him. Lestat thinks of being a lily petal dropped in a river, falling over a waterfall, being pounded to shreds by the crashing pressure at the bottom, and still wishing for more. He might be crying, he thinks, slow and weak, because Louis is kissing his face the way he does when he’s cleaning up Lestat’s tears. Lestat nods through the kisses, manages to send a tattered, staticky psychic impression of himself as the ruined flower in the pit of the falls.

Summary
“Louis?”
Louis appears startled. “Yeah?” he asks.
Lestat purses his lips in an attempt to keep the tears in. He straightens his spine, holds his chin high, dares to flash a smile that looks way too forced, but it goes away too quickly.
He clears his throat, but it still comes out shaky, a croak, even, when he asks, “Who is Daniel Molloy?”
-
Almost three years after Louis and Lestat stood in each other’s arms at the center of an abandoned shack, while a violent hurricane threatened their city just outside, they have discovered a newfound balance for this new century. Lestat has his music, Louis has his clubs and his art, but there’s still a dedicated corner for each other in both of their lives. Toeing the lines of sex and love, the hope that they might use the new century to be better is just around the corner.
That is, of course, until Daniel Molloy publishes his book.

Summary
His hair falls across his face as he makes a slow, half-hearted attempt to sit up. He can smell it now—a rich, heady scent that intoxicates his every sense. It smells of amber, of caramel, of butter melting on his skin. It smells of gooseberries, peonies, and sweet Lambrusco.
It smells like Louis.
It is this realization that frees him from his own complacency, and Lestat feels it then—the sound of his own heart stopping to mimic that of another, the one beating confidently and freely at his side. His body is wrapped in a thick woolen blanket; beneath it slips the silk of a pajama that does not belong to him. He lies on pillows, feeling his feet dangle off the edge of a—couch?
“Good morning, sleeping beauty,” that voice, frankly far too amused, reaches him from the opposite couch, across a hideous slate coffee table.
