Summary
Everyone in their teens has thought, even just once, about running away from home. Miklós, a teenager born and raised in a small village in the Slovenian countryside, is no different. But no matter how much he hates his town, how he feels out of place, how ugly his relationship with his parents is, he has no way to turn that thought into reality. That is until he gets picked up by the mysterious Alexej, who seems to be unexplainably interested in him.
Miklós knew next to nothing about borders, and even less about crossing one. The idea he could leave Slovenia had never even passed through his mind before Alexej had mentioned it, and now it sat on his shoulder, the alien thing, and it whispered into his ears dreams he didn’t understand.
