It's not every day that your star-crossed-lover-mixed-best-friend-roman-empire-situation reaches out to you via letter, asking you to meet them for coffee out of the blue. You haven't spoken to them in over a decade.
The whole thing is suspicious -- a prank, or worse. Sprout goes anyways, and he knows he's throwing his one shot of success out for some hangout, but he'd be a fool if he did anything else.
