Minji’s staring at her phone, not even looking up at Haerin when she asks: “Do you know Marsh Danielle?”
Haerin feels a shiver run down her spine. “Um, yes, I have seen her here and there.”
“Oh come on, she’s not just here and there! One of the most sought-after models right now, like, right next to Lee Hyein!” Minji hushes the last bit, then shoots a thumb back at her to where Hyein’s still contemplating (maybe her life choices). “This might just be our biggest release to date, because guess what? She’s coming in next week.”
Haerin feels like a cookie, being crumbled apart—maybe thrown to the ground and stepped on too for good measure.
(Or: Having to be the photographer for your high school crush's magazine issue never ends well. Unless you're Haerin and Jihye, maybe.)
