Summary
Love is simple. It can happen quickly or slowly, with strangers or friends, can be messy or easy, but it is as simple as breathing, as simple as hearing your name called, somewhere deep within, and your feet carrying you onwards; as simple as an arrow and a bow, and the pulling of a string.
Love is good. Love is easy. And love is not frustrating.
You know who is frustrating? Keith Kogane. What the fuck.
Sure, fine. He found him kind of annoying back when he first met him, but he’s gotten over all of that animosity already. Keith is a good friend by now, even if he enjoys pulling on his metaphorical pigtails from time to time. But the guy is difficult. Wall after wall, after wall, and he gives you a spoon and tells you, “Good luck getting through the brick and cement, I spent years putting those up,” and Lance never turns down a challenge.
So he feels knowledgeable about Keith Kogane's emotional barriers. Yet Keith, at his core, at heart, is a tangle of contradictions he might not even be fully aware of.
So, please, someone, tell him why in the world is Lance tasked with the impossible feat of making the guy fall in love with someone?

Summary
In which Wriothesley, owner of a wildlife rescue and sanctuary, rescues a weird-looking not-gopher in a pool, which leads him down a strange mystery involving a government conspiracy, an illegal smuggling ring, and a Iudex that has disappeared from the office, sending Fontaine in a frenzy. Little does he know, the missing Iudex Neuvillette is a lot closer to him than he realizes.
(All he has to do is look closer at the fluffy otter creature currently curled against his chest, shamelessly using his pecs as his pillow.)

Summary
This is not the first time Neuvillette has invited Wriothesley to dine with him after they finish a long day’s work. They are still feeling out this new thing between them, this burgeoning personal relationship, that which Neuvillette has eschewed for so many centuries.
Neuvillette finds himself inordinately nervous. He has set for this engagement expectations that are, perhaps, too much. But Wriothesley has of late expressed an interest in greater intimacies than simply taking a meal together, than sharing smoldering kisses, and if they are to experience such things, then Neuvillette owes him a revelation.
The truth of what he is.
Neuvillette reveals himself to Wriothesley, braced for his lover to reject his strange body.

Summary
“Surely you’ve been wanted before.” Varka’s voice is ragged. Flins is losing his grip, grabbing his loose threads and pulling his form back together, head buzzing, teeth aching.
“No,” he breathes.
Varka’s grip on his waist goes tight. “That can’t be true at all,” he says. “You wouldn’t know attraction if it broke your lantern.”

Summary
“Does it bother you?” Flins asks, voice low with concern.
Does it…bother Varka? Now that’s one hell of a question. If by ‘bothered’ Flins means that Varka is upset by the reminder of Flins’ ethereal otherness, his long-lived history, and all the difficulties their incompatible lifespans will surely bring upon them further down the line, then no, not in the slightest. It’s but a small price to pay for loving Flins, and Varka certainly wouldn’t want him to change anything about himself—not for Varka’s sake, nor anyone else’s.
But if by ‘bothered’ Flins is referring to Varka’s sudden newfound, all-consuming compulsion to hear him speak fae again—a rallying war cry in the midst of battle; whispers of sweet nothings in their quiet moments together; breathless gasps and moans, punctuated by screams of Varka’s name as Flins writhes in pleasure—then yes, Varka supposes it does bother him quite a bit.
Or, Varka wants Flins to speak fae to him in bed.
