It was obvious Ratchet was joking with that last part—a very bad joke, but it made sense. And now, everything made sense, to the point where he could only focus on how a joke in such poor taste made sense, and not on how awful it was.
The cryptic comments. their apparent inability to follow the most basic rules. their blatant disregard for authority. their erratic and outright strange behavior. Their indifference. Those wildly out-of-place remarks.
