Shane rolls his eyes and refuses to laugh or even smile, not that his face listens. “Oh, you mean my extremely vain husband?”
“Yes, exactly. You think you will be able to not fuck or jerk off for 10 weeks? It was different before. Now, we live together and sleep together and eat together and play together and run together and work out—”
“Okay, I get it,” Shane says with a put-upon aggrieved air. “We’ll be here all night if you keep that up.” Ilya gives Shane his patented dirty smirk and Shane feels heat rise in his face again. “Anyway, I’ll be fine. I can definitely make it 10 weeks without.”
Ilya reaches across the table to give Shane’s cheek a condescending slap this time. “Okay,” he says with deep scepticism.
In retrospect, Shane really should have heeded that word of warning.
