Summary

HIATUS and possibly abandonment. I just refuse to delete fics. It doesn't count that I deleted the first version of this because I MEANT to finish rewriting it. I'd put it back up for y'all if I could.
Bakugou Katsuki was five years old when his best friend was kidnapped before his very eyes - an event that haunts him to this very day. He grew up seeing the horrors of the world and slowly gave up on ever seeing the boy again. His future set in motion with a determination to save as many people as he could from a similar fate. You can imagine his surprise when, nearly eight years after he last saw him, Midoriya Izuku appears once more. Though something is very clearly wrong, but he seems the only one able to see it.
Midoriya Izuku, on the other hand, sees that fateful day as the one where he was reunited with his Papa - the only man in the world who can teach him to use his quirk. He grows up becoming the horrors of the world, his future set in motion with the desire to crumble a society that values genetic mutation above all else. The only way to do that is from the inside out.

Soulmarks are, like anything else, fickle magic. Unlike everything else, they are a kind of magic many witches and wizards chose to ignore the power of - after all, for most it's just a tattoo that (quite literally) burns into existence. In a world full of magic something like that is so small and insubstantial. To Harry, though, it's proof that there's someone out there who will love him - though he's quite surprised to find out who.
