Summary
In the quiet moment of remembrance, a quiet whimper of pain and shuffling pulled them out of their thoughts. Nico snapped to the side, barrel pointed just to the left of Jenson’s body. A boy. Not much older than Isack. A scraggly, dirty, malnourished blonde whose ribs stuck out against his skin wearing a jacket, that Lewis recognised all too well, far to big that drowned the small frame. A too-small, unkept, and undesirable boy curled up against the corpse. A boy who was coated in blood, vomit and bruises. Trying to seek warmth and comfort from something so cold and lifeless. Jenson had an arm curled around the boy’s back as a final act of comfort while his corpse rotted and decayed with his last breath was spent making sure he was safe.
Lewis subconsciously moved Isack behind him, keeping his boy’s chest as close to his back as he could while keeping his fingers curled around the handle of his knife while Nico slowly lowered his.
“A kid?” Nico questioned, face contorted in confusion.
“It would explain where he’s been all this time.”
Or how two young teenagers found hope, love and life in eachother in the centre of an apocalyptic world filled with darkness and death.

Summary
“i miss being your partner. your teammate.” charles whispered suddenly as the first few notes of a song familiar to the both of them began to play from the speakers of the phone. “i mean, lewis is great. it’s just.. he’s not..”
“i can still remember how that music used to make me smile.”
“he’s not you.” charles finished, shoulders tensing under the weight of the confession.
carlos froze, just for a second. his hand stilling from where he was tracing the patterns before exhaling and dropping his own head to rest atop of charles’.
“max isn’t you either.”
“but something touched me deep inside. the day the music died-“

Summary
liam propped himself up on his elbows, hands cushioning his head with a small smile on his face with his eyes flickered from side to side as he followed isack’s frantic hand movements. a yawn escaped liam’s lips before he could stop it and then his free hand came to rub at his eyes, his body was so racked with exhaustion he didn’t even bother to hide the tiredness that weighed at his eyes and rested on his shoulders.
“liam, if my story is that boring you can just say that, no?”
while a well rested liam, or a liam who had recently drunk a redbull, would have noticed the sarcasm dripping in isack’s words and responded with a witty or jokey retort of his own; an extremely sleep deprived liam missed the joke entirely and shot upright. his hands hovered in the air as apologies spilled from his lips about how he was actually listening to isack’s story and didn’t think it was boring at all. he had been so engrossed in his apology, taking extra energy to think and formulate simple sentences that made coherent sense that he hadn’t noticed isack’s stare. he hadn’t noticed how isack’s face quickly morphed from light to concern with the other’s eyes flickering up and down his body,
“liam. you are shaking.”

Summary
charles has spent his life wanting to help people - it’s the whole reason he became a hero in the first place. however, the agency - or known as the FIA - had locked up his powers. deciding his powers of regenerative healing was best used for other healing. charles has since spent most of his time in the ‘formula one hero agency’ playing saviour. they use him until he had no energy left to give and no power left to bleed before tossing him to the side and letting him collapse.
that’s when his saviour comes in, carlos. carlos who offers saving not through magical healing powers but through being a shoulder to cry on, hugs, longing glances and threats towards the FIA.

each were used to waking up to a dark room and a cold bed, now they wake up to the sound of laughter coming the ship’s kitchen with the blend of accents sounding like a heavenly cacophony.
