"How is that lucky for me?" Natasha had so much practice being furious with Jake over the years that now it came with the bonus of being able to nail that annoyed tone while the rest of her simply wanted to nail him.
His mouth slowly turned up in a grin so huge that it felt like she was talking to the Cheshire Cat. "Road trip, obviously!"
It felt like it should have been more difficult than this, but there didn't seem to be another shoe to drop in sight.

Natasha snorts. "Us? I hit my head and forgot a couple weeks but I still remember us agreeing that this was not an us."
