    Summary

In 1945, a virus was unleashed in a desperate attempt to end the war; it succeeded, but plunged hundreds of millions into comas joined by one thing: the Dreamscape. Now, nearly 2 decades later, the world is still ravaged by the virus with new victims falling every day.

Thursday, a copper in a world with little crime and limited resources to spend on policing, is approached by a man who claims he can help him. The only catch is that he's trapped in the Dreamscape himself.

“I don’t believe in ghosts,” Hawkeye said. “Or demons, or poltergeists, or souls, or anything. The problem being, however, that my disbelief doesn’t seem to be fazing this ghost one iota.”

    Ben grimaced apologetically.

Gorgeous. Nailed the dialogue and the emotions, two impossible tasks when it comes to MASH.

Technically unfinished which is ofc a pity, but it definitely works as as-is imo; this fic lets really you sit with Charles's grief and anger without going overboard, and his voice is spot-on.

    Bookmarker's Notes

Not many authors can write emotional denial/repression in an intelligent way, but this one absolutely nailed it. and, my god, the sheer romance by the end.
