“What does the pink mean?” Raccoon Eyes asks in a teasing tone, a smirk on her face and Katsuki’s mind is reeling.
Izuku looks at him with those big curious eyes. Eyes he can describe from memory, eyes he has spent countless nights thinking of.
He knows what the pink means. His heart knows what it means even when he was too young and angry to put it in words.
“That I’m annoyed.” Katsuki says instead, looking anywhere but Izuku’s eyes.
Because Katsuki, apparently is an idiot allergic to dealing with his fucking feelings. A fucking coward too scared to admit that the pink means love.

Or: Katsuki gets hit with a quirk that makes his hair change color depending on his feelings. Red in anger, green in disgust… and pink when he looks at Izuku.
But he would rather die than admit it.
And Izuku… is tired of being pulled and pushed. Would this be the opportunity for Katsuki to get his head out of his ass or would it just be too little, too late?

He saved the world, got his revenge, crossed the names on the list, and buried it alongside his parents' graves. For the first time in years, Izuku wasn’t angry.
Instead, he was empty.
He felt raw, his past and wounds were all exposed for the world to see. For the world to judge.
This was the aftermath. The consequences of his actions.
But, before that, there was also what the others saw.
Or: 5 times Izuku got closer with Class 1-A, 5 times when he made friends and healed from his past, when he tasted a new beginning and happiness... and the one time his past came knocking down the door. The one time where he had to choose again between revenge and his new friends.
Revenge is a dish better served in three parts anyway.

Summary
Apparently one of the after-effects of Russian drugs, apart from the worse hangover ever, is developing superpowers. Steve wishes someone had warned him about that. Luckily one of the other side effects is gaining a new best friend to whom you are trauma bonded for life.
Now if only could someone tell Steve how to deal with feeling what everyone around him is feeling, it would be great, thank you very much.
Or a post-season 3, pre-season 4 and season 4 rewrite au-ish in which Robin and Steve have superpowers thanks to experimental Russian drugs, become the very best of bestest of friends, deal with college decisions, develop not very straight crushes and save the world... in that order... they are so ready for retirement at age 19.
This fic is inspired by “Jackrabbit Underneath” by Grey_Lark and “Emotion sickness” by Shypt. I loved their ideas on Steve having empathy powers and decided to give it my try.

Summary
When Izuku is six years old his parents die in a villain attack. It wasn’t the villain that killed his parents though, it was the heroes.
For fifteen minutes four heroes stood by the ruins of their house as the rubble slowly crushed them and killed them. They just stood there as they waited for the press, they let their parents die just because they wanted to be photographed and recorded so they could go up in the rankings.
They might as well have killed them.
The Midoriya family died, suffocating and bleeding just a few meters apart from those heroes. The three of them died.
But one of them was reborn.
Izuku somehow survived. The world refused to give him a quirk, but it wouldn’t let him die either.
At ten years old, he stood in front of his parent's graves as he vowed vengeance.
He grabs a piece of paper and makes a list, of four heroes; DeathArms, Kamui Woods, Burnin, and Endeavor. Four names, and one mission. He is not gonna stop until he crosses them all.
It didn’t matter what he had to do; he’d do it. No matter what it’d turn him into. Hero, villain...
Justice was blind, it wouldn’t see the difference.

Summary
Izuku is six when the world around him breaks. He is six and forced to see his parents die slowly in front of him, rubble and the ruins of their home taking their life.
A tragedy.
But, what is not a tragedy, is the four heroes who stood by and did nothing to save them, letting them die as they waited for the cameras and press to arrive. No, that was an injustice.
Izuku would do anything to get revenge, to make them all pay for what they took from him.
Brick by brick, he would make sure they all got what they deserved.
No matter what it made him; hero, villain...
Justice was blind, it wouldn't see the difference.
Or: Izuku is a delinquent, a troubled kid who saw violence as his only constant. A kid who was forced to fight for even a chance of survival. A kid who was thrown around bad foster homes. A kid forced to see the worst of humanity, knowing it was all four heroes' fault.
He is not a bad kid. He is not. But he had to do it. He couldn't not do it.
He had to get even. He had to face off.
