Summary
Buck does a good job of masking his panic, even when he hears the gunshots. It’s been years since Eddie’s shooting, and Eddie is fine. He’s here and he’s fine, and everything is fine. But until he sees Eddie coming out of that grocery store, there’s a small part of him that wonders if he’s going to come out at all.
He does. He comes out, and he’s fine and alive and not bleeding. He’s fine.

Summary
“Dance with me,” he muses.
The music has switched from country to something Buck’s more used to at this club. A dance track that sounds vaguely familiar, maybe some sort of remix of an old Madonna song Maddie used to listen to when they were kids. He feels himself wanting to say yes, to give in. Eddie’s deep eyes aren’t helping either, his steady gaze fixed, unmoving, on his own as he takes another sip directly from the glass.
Buck had originally wanted to unwind from his workday. Maybe this would help.
He sighs. “Lead the way.”
Or
What if Buck had met Eddie before he joined the 118?

Summary
If anyone were to ask whose idea it was to start doing body shots off each other, neither of them could've given a credible answer.
That didn't matter at the moment.
Not with the way Eddie slurped up the tequila pooled in Buck's belly button.
Or how he took the time to lap the liquor that lingered on Buck's toned abs.
Or the way the flat of his tongue pressed against Buck's collarbone much lower than where the salt had been stuck, as Eddie licked up the side of Buck's neck.
It certainly didn’t matter when Eddie's lips pressed against Buck's as he very slowly bit the lime resting in Buck's mouth. That's when it occurred to him. Straight guys probably don't do body shots off their bisexual male best friend. It should have given Eddie more pause than that, but it didn't.
Not when he really wanted to do it again.

OR: I 100% believe the show writers made a mistake not having Buck and Eddie hook up in Season 8 Episode 6. So this is my way of correcting that error 😜😅

Summary
“Thanks, but I’m straight,” Eddie says for the third time this week. Why is this suddenly coming up so much? Is it the mustache?
Eddie isn’t offended or anything of course. His response is almost knee-jerk at this point, after years of hanging out with his various queer friends in various queer bars. But no one had ever followed it up with a warm smile and a “that’s okay, baby. Have you ever been with a man?”
And. Well.

Summary
The water is hot. Pleasantly so. Roiling gently thanks to the jets. Eddie plunges into it with a sigh pulled from somewhere deep. He sinks onto the bench and tips his head back, submerged enough to rest it comfortably against the ledge of the tub behind him. The water rises as he settles, lapping at his collarbones. Beneath its surface, he stretches his legs out.
It’s a quiet night. The neighborhood children are all tucked up in bed by now, the cars parked in driveways for the evening. The windows are shut, so are the sliding glass doors to yards; the distant, twinkling sounds of conversation and laughter from within long since muted. The noise of the city is inescapable, but here, it’s softer. Further off. It’s almost easy for it to fade into the background in this little corner of suburbia. Instead, crickets chirp from the bushes, the stray croak of a frog from somewhere in the grass joins their song. Overhead, string lights weave through the patio cover beams, casting the porch in a soft, warm glow.
It’s nice here, in Buck’s new backyard. Peaceful.
But, maybe that’s more to do with the company, than the ambiance.
Or, Buck, Eddie, and Buck's new hot tub.
