┈ The astrantia major— also termed the masterwort— is a pinkish-green flower that is known as the flower of courage, strength, protection, and power. Over the last decade of your life, it has grown to become your name. The only name you can remember.
Time passed infinitely in those white, confined walls, each day longer than the last. Longing for a way out became a constant, desperate reminder of your imprisonment. The need to escape that everlasting dullness grew intensely, like the flowers that had been painted amongst the hallway walls, the only sense of color in your vacant life. You longed for those flowers, the feelings of them imagined between your palms. You knew that fighting for that freedom would be a challenge— the hardest challenge one would ever possibly face.
But many difficulties and feats later, you find out that growing isn’t just for flowers— you found your most precious gift in the ability to grow and learn, escaping from the past that held you like thorns. You learned to carve your own life amongst the people that you’ve come to hold dearly.
