Summary
Will's throat ached, skin itching where Budge last touched him, and that in and of itself should have been enough of a sign, enough of a warning. His body rejecting another’s Alpha’s mark, his claim, no matter how minor, how accidental it was.
Will gingerly swallowed, not wanting to let on that he did, but not able to hide the expression on his face. And Hannibal, of course, missed nothing. Will felt the way the other man’s focus shifted, the way Hannibal’s gaze settled on him, heavy and concerned.

Summary

The only issue is that Will is a constant presence, and he hasn't had alone time in three years.
It ends up not being an issue at all.

Summary
“Hannibal, look.” Frustrated, Will collapses into a chair. “I’m not trying to be cruel, I promise you. The… idea, that you are suffering while I could… lessen it. It’s unbearable.” Hannibal is opening his mouth, but Will raises a hand to ask him to wait. “And before you bring up my ‘dangerously altruistic streak,’ as you’ve dubbed it, I do mean you.”
Will cannot look at Hannibal, because it’s only part of the truth. He can’t stop thinking about that day, when the perfectly poised doctor had come so unhinged that he broke through a solid wooden door with nothing but his own brutal strength. Sometimes, some sweaty, frantic nights, he has dreams about what would have happened had Jack not gotten there in time.
The fact that he does not know is becoming unbearable.

Hannibal, an Alpha, is in love with Will, a Beta, and it's becoming a problem. Will offers to help the man through his rut, unaware of the true consequences of his actions.
