Jun Wu laughed and wrapped the hand that had just been in Hua Cheng’s around his husband. “Yes, it was a private affair. It all happened quite suddenly.”
“Congratulations,” Hua Cheng made himself say, then drained the rest of his drink in one go. “It’s a pleasure to meet you...”
Hua Cheng held out his hand expectantly for the man in white to take. But, instead, he looked to Jun Wu as if seeking permission, and that alone almost sent Hua Cheng into a blind rage. But he had a plan, and he needed to see this through.
“Xie Lian,” the man answered after he’d received his husband’s permission and shook Hua Cheng’s hand. Then, with practice ease, Hua Cheng slipped the note he’d been carrying all night just for this moment into Xie Lian’s palm.Series

Summary
Our tale begins with Xie Lian hiring an escort to help him deal with an “unspeakable affliction” after a disastrous breakup forced him to leave college and return to his hometown.
Hua Cheng (or Wuming, as he is called when we first meet him) isn’t really interested in helping people—he just wants to get paid. If the situation with a client seems too complicated to deal with, he has no problem walking away. But for some reason he can’t explain, he feels compelled to help Xie Lian.
The two find themselves very quickly drawn to one another, but nothing in life is easy, especially when it comes to love.
Xie Lian is struggling to forget about the demise of the relationship that ruined his life—a struggle complicated by the fact that his ex may or may not be stalking him.
Meanwhile, Hua Cheng is busy running from a past that will soon catch up to him with deadly consequences.

Summary
