Summary
Yeah, no. He’s not tolerating this any longer than already he has. Philippe’s much larger hand closes around the collar of Corbeau’s indigo shirt, hoisting him up against the large doors to his office with a hefty thud.
“I respect you, boss. Really, I do,” Philippe growls, “but this whole week you have been out of line. Testing boundaries, calling me names, treating me like I’m your pet. You got some kind of problem with me, huh? Then say it, for Arceus’ sake. We don’t treat each other—” his fists tighten in the fabric, pressing him just a little harder into the door— “like this.”

Summary
Philippe on his knees because that’s something Corbeau thinks he’ll remember perfect and plucked out of time for the rest of his life. Every time he turns it over the memory shows a new facet until there's so much it becomes a physical weight in his mind. Of all the threads that make up the tapestry there is, of course, one far more base than all the rest. One that's easy to spin into something of its own.
