“Kar-,” she starts, the brunette turning to her so fast it almost gives her whiplash. Taylor closes the distance between them, standing just a few inches away now. “This- this is stupid. Um, how long are you staying in LA?”
“We’re leaving early tomorrow,” Karlie replies, hugging herself.
“Oh, uh, I was going to suggest brunch tomorrow, but-,” she says and looks away for a second. “Do you- do you want to go to Cara’s party? She’s throwing it to celebrate the end of the US leg. Maybe we could go and, uh, catch up, I guess?”
“Catch up?” Karlie asks, a light chuckle hidden in her voice. She says it brightly, though, Taylor can almost hear hope in her tone.
OR
Karlie shows up unannounced at the last night of The Eras Tour in LA, expecting anything except actually seeing the love of her life again.

Summary
Karlie smiles at her and silence lulls between them. Their gazes meet, unbreaking. Taylor finds herself being pulled by aquamarine orbs and that magnetic energy that has the same power on her as it did ten years prior.
“Um, I’m here with Austin and his girlfriend, do you – do you want to join us?”
And there it is. Never wanting the moment to break.
“Oh, I wouldn’t want to impose, Tay,” Karlie chuckles softly.
“You’re not imposing at all,” she says, batting a hand. “We’d love to have you.”
“Okay then,” the brunette says. “It’ll be nice to catch up.”
Karlie stands up as Taylor asks the hostess to set their table for four instead. She then turns to the brunette with a soft smile. Her fingers tingle as she deliberates if a hug at this point would be called for or just weird. Karlie, of course, makes the decision easy for her, stepping into her space and pulling her into a tight hug.
“Hey,” Karlie breathes in her ear.
“Hey,” Taylor replies back, arms around Karlie’s back, her body almost engulfed by the tall woman.
OR
Taylor runs into Karlie in Nashville. They spend a weekend together because they are dumb, horny and still in love.
