Summary
Kuro and Shiro were once inseparable, two young strays who roamed the streets together, sharing scraps and dreams under the moonlight. However, when Shiro was taken in by a kind family, her life transformed into one of warmth and luxury, while Kuro was left behind, hardened by the harshness of the world.
Years passed. Shiro grew into a graceful, well-groomed cat and Kuro, on the other hand, became rough and weathered from his time surviving alone.
Despite everything, Kuro never forgot her. He watched from the shadows, always too ashamed of his ragged state to approach. What would she think of him now? Would she even remember their days together?
One evening, after much hesitation, Kuro finally found the courage to face her. With a trembling heart, he approached, carrying a single, slightly wilted flower in his mouth; the same kind she once loved as a kitten. But as he drew near, he saw her turn away, her back to him, seemingly indifferent. Had she truly forgotten him?
Or was she waiting for him to say something he never had the courage to say before?
