Summary
Three seconds was all it took for the wraith to rip the very essence of Beatrice’s soul and transmogrify it into something that had always unnerved Ava.
In some fit of shock or maybe hysteria. Ava found herself counting the seconds leading to Beatrice’ Possession.1… Beatrice's head hitting the ground with an incomprehensible smack, limbs going slack in tandem.
2… Angry red tendrils leaving Matteo only to latch onto Beatrice, burrowing inside and stealing the pieces of Beatrice that Ava had come to admire.
3… Beatrice’ body arising anew, face void of emotion, eyes inky black swallowing everything in sight. Including Ava.
Or
Ava is too late to save Beatrice from possession.

As in, that Adora. The one Catra dated for all of college.
The one that broke her heart four and a half weeks before graduation.
The one that, according to what she’d said on the last day Catra had seen her, had fallen out of love with her."
Or, six years ago, Adora and Catra were college students in love. Then, in one fateful meeting at a coffee shop, Adora broke Catra's heart.
Now Catra's a junior partner at a law firm handling a patent dispute for Adora's family company. The two of them have to re-enter the other's life in an attempt for closure, catharsis, and connection.

Set in modern day London, this AU follows Ava and Beatrice trying (and mostly failing) to move on from death. Expect late-night conversations, emotional chaos, ghost jokes, and a lot of unresolved feelings.
I write in Ava’s POV because she’s messy, real, and can’t stop talking, even from beyond the grave.
