Three months after his existence was erased, Peter Parker was not doing so well. His solace came from knowing that at the very least he had managed to save his city in the end.
Apparently, though, Peter realized as Doctor Strange explained to him that he had to give up even more, losing everything-and-then-some just wasn't enough.
OR
The multiverse continues to collapse in on itself. Doctor Strange discovers the source of the problem as Peter Parker. The only viable solution is to remove Peter from his original universe so that no more entities will be drawn to his presence there.
Peter is sent to a world that lost its Peter Parker, and finds himself lost in a sea of people he'd grieved who had all grieved him in kind.

“Guess Rhodey told him,” Tony says, looking down at him. “Or maybe Pepper or Happy. You okay with it?”
“I mean I guess,” Peter says, his brows furrowed. “Nothing to do about it now it’s done and over with.”
“You wanted to keep it our family secret?” Tony asks. “For now?”
Peter seems to consider that. Usually Tony is really good at reading him, but he feels a bit of a wall up, right now. “Yeah,” Peter says, gently. “As long as he does not tell anybody that should not know.”

Buck leans into Eddie’s touch, just for a second, before clearing his throat. “They want me to take temporary emergency custody. Just until better arrangements are made.”
The loft falls eerily silent. It would be almost comical, the way the entire team has simultaneously held their breath, if he didn’t feel like a lead weight was resting on his shoulders.
Hen, ever pragmatic, is the first to recover. She looks at him with an expression Buck can only call cautious, gentle and kind around the edges. “Temporary?”
“I couldn’t abandon her.” He can feel something just behind his teeth, waiting to spill out, but he can’t quite name it. “Not if I could do something about it.”

Summary
