   Summary

   Such a scattering of scars make a road-map, both to places much loved and memories best forgotten.

   A girl thrown into a world made of monsters. A ghoul who may be one himself. Both are searching for things they never knew they wanted, and the only way they can find them is together.

    

   ON HIATUS... Sort of.

   I am writing sporadically, but this story is pretty emotionally taxing, both for you to read and for me to write. I have been going months between updating and I don't think it fair to new readers to get so invested in something that isn't complete, so I just felt it better to let everyone know. Thank you to those who have been so encouraging and stayed with me while I work through some things both in my life and in my writing.

   A love so compelling it got me to read Les Miserables & Robert Frost & then break down all over again on a re-read(your original poetry is so beautiful!!!). I adore Lucky & Moira's friendship it's everything to me.

   Summary

   Toast doesn't need anyone slowing her down, and Slit doesn't need anyone in his way. She's busy with plotting out her future, he has trouble enough already with his gang falling apart, and neither of them is interested in taking their eyes off the road. But as they roam through the streets of Citadel City, they keep running into each other. Modern city AU, with side Capable/Nux. Makes more sense if read with 6SS.
