Summary
Stephanie wraps her arm tightly around his shoulder and he leans in unconsciously. After several minutes of silence: “I don’t know if I’m right or wrong.”
“No, you’re right, Tim. Bruce is intolerable. Dick shouldn’t have taken Robin from you and Damian is a little shit. Cass may have abandoned you and I definitely did. But the thing is, that’s the way we’ve always been. We all run from our problems, except for Jason who shoots at them, and everyone ‘copes’ only to make 'em bigger.”
“So then what?” Tim mutters.
Stephanie pauses to look at him. “Exactly, buddy. So now what?”

Summary
Flying back to Cherry Street, weaving reckless in the dark, it comes down to this: Dick is the only one of his siblings that Jason has any real claim on. Dick is the only one of that whole mess of victims to Batman's cult of self-immolation who belongs to Jason. Even more than that - Dick is the only person in the world who he shares a parent with, who knows what it meant to be the Robin to Batman of nearly ten years ago.
It's just not the same anymore.
So if Dick fucking kicks it, Jason's the only one left. Jason becomes an only child. Jason becomes the last of his kind. Jason becomes the sole keeper of that memory, of a brotherhood shared under a man who no longer exists. There is no way to replace Dick, because the world that they lived in together is gone, and can never give Jason a surrogate.
The Red Hood pulls the thread on a mystery big enough to bridge the distance between two cities, two brothers: The plot they unravel is far deeper and darker than a garden-variety drug trafficking scheme. A story about siblingship, hauntings, and rivers.
1. Ostium, osti(i): Latin noun, II Declension: Door, opening; (river) mouth; entrance (to the underworld).

Summary
Nightwing wakes up with a concussion in a warehouse, after getting knocked out by a gang that's fairly new to the Gotham scene. Red Hood, the worryingly competent new player in Gotham's underworld, is there too. It... sure ends up going some kind of way.

Summary
It always ends the same way: a kid who had to grow up too fast wearing a stolen name, injuries that imply a slow and painful death, a ticking bomb that makes it quick.
Jason Todd keeps going. It's not a pretty thing.

Summary
“Don’t you dare tell me I don't know my own son’s face.” Familiar rage seethes at the base of his lungs. “Don’t you dare. Don’t you ever. I knew it against all reason. I knew it when it was impossible for it to be in front of me. I knew it faked and warped and desecrated and delusional and spitting mad. I knew it when it killed me to know it, to believe it to be true—”
“Describe it,” Dick challenges.
“I knew his face three years dead beneath a domino. I knew it as he carved a chunk of flesh from his own scalp and cursed my name…” His fingertips drift to a spot two inches behind his ear. Is that uneven texture the sign of a years-old scar, or just a tangle of hair?
(Or: Jason and Bruce get bodyswapped. It takes two full days for anyone to point it out to them.)

Bookmarker's Notes
I am a gigantic fan of Jason todd existential horror/identity porn and the way you wrote this rips me apart.
I wholly appreciate the way you approached the batarang™ and its impact on the narrative. it has this weight to it that is given its appropriate heaviness, especially with the additional problem of the body swap, ha. the scene where the batarang is revealed hits like a brick and is a perfect set-up for what's to come.
also, I'm just a sucker for jason-constantine banter. fav dynamic 10/10
