But, since he's already here, in a fucking manor of all places, he can see where this goes, live off this naive man's money without getting emotionally involved. Yes, this is a foolproof plan.
Dick Grayson is a teenager, unfortunately for him: this means one identity crisis a week and a good dose of fighting for indipendence with his legal guardian. Then he suddenly acquires a new brother, who looks like a wet racoon with an adorable pout, and now he has to decide who he wants to be while everything he loves changes around him. No sweat.

The butler sighed, “Master Bruce has entered his heat, and Master Clark has been off world for nearly a month.” He’d been out on an off world mission with Hal Jordan for an alien delegation, because for some reason having an alien from a world that no longer existed was somehow helpful.
Dick took in a deep breath and tried to stay calm. “Okay, but what does that have to do with Bruce being missing?” Because being in heat was one thing, it wasn’t great without Clark being here, but it was manageable. But being missing while in heat, was an entirely different story.
Alfred cleared his throat, here came the more uncomfortable part. “Well, when bonded Omegas go into heat without their alpha, they tend to get…frantic and seek comfort in other ways. And well, Master Bruce started making a nest in his room and asking for his pups. So I told him his pups would arrive soon and to continue making a nest while I prepared some tea. I was going to call you or the others to come aid him, but when I returned Master Bruce was gone!”

Dick was fairly confident the boy would make a decent Robin. But beyond that Dick didn’t have any strong opinions, and he was happy to leave it that way. He refused to form an opinion, to become attached. It was easier that way. Dick didn’t want to take the time to examine the dread he felt seeing Tim in his colors, standing in the same spot another black haired, blue eyed boy used to be. He wasn’t looking for a new brother. That’s what he told himself when eight months had passed and he had only met the boy a handful of times.
Dick stopped telling himself that when he learned that Tim had died due to the Joker.
Or: In Tim's early Robin days, Dick realizes he needs to step up and mentor the boy who now holds his mantle. Tim is going to be part of the family, no matter what Bruce has to say.

The Housemaid x DC Superheroes
11 year old Dick Grayson just got out of a one year prison sentence for attempted murder…., of his parents killer. Now homeless with no foster family willing to put up with him he walks the streets of Gotham looking for work. He finds a flyer for a house keeper. Perfect. He goes to the interview a little nervous and tries to make himself look and sound as innocent as possible in case they look into his background. The people hiring for this position aren’t what he thought they’d be at all. Clark Kent bless his soul seems like the sweetest human being ever. He’s very kind to dick throughout the whole interview process carefully explaining everything. The next day dick gets a call saying he got the job. And so he moves in. Everything goes fine at first. But then he meets Bruce who seems very loving of Clark but also distant and distracted and he especially doesn’t give dick the time of day. And Clark, well, dick soon finds out Clark is very unstable. He’s super nice to dick on some days but then very unstable the next. These two men definitely aren’t what they seem but dick needs the money and a place to stay so he’ll turn the other eye for now.
