Attempt at some post-apocalyptic romance! (Continuing my unbroken record of terrible titles and pretentious summaries)
Synopsis: To just survive- was that enough? It grew like a pulsing tide over the grasslands, the crops, and the peaceful little villages dotting the land. The tendrils flowed gregariously through the oceans, the rivers, and the very minds of the people. It infected, it propagated, it kissed the brows of its sleeping prey and sank into their skin. How many years had it been since the dreamers last opened their eyes to the azure of a real sky? She had survived, sheer luck keeping her afloat, but was everything lost truly irrecoverable?
Nami/Usopp-centered post-apocalyptic adventure story (with romance) in a world imprisoned by a monster.
Inspired a bit by “Plague Land” by Alex Scarrow, but only just barely. Enough that I felt I should mention it (great book!), but not enough to warrant much more than that. Honestly, this concept is fairly trope-y in scifi anyway, but I hope you all like it! I wanted to put some characters through hell and then kiss and stuff.

Something fucked up and angsty.
Seriously heed warnings.
The first chapter includes a fairly graphic rape scene.
(Eventual UsoNami... but it'll be a long time)

A curse or a blessing? What was it that happened to them when they passed, unknowingly, beneath that wedding arch?
Is it affecting their brains, or were they already meant to be so drawn to one another?

Summary
" In all the time that she had known him, Nami couldn't remember Luffy even saying the word sex, and she could have sworn it wasn't even in his vocabulary.
Yet here he was, not only saying it casually but fucking proposing it as if it was nothing. "--------
Nami is bummed by the idea of never having sex because their lifestyle prevents her from meeting a guy to fall for and do it with.
Luffy offers to help.Bookmarked by fascinatingblueshirt

Summary
It’s a question of biology. Vulcan biology.
The problem with falling in love with a member of an insanely private species is that it just might take you the best part of a five year mission to work out that the feelings are requited. And then you might discover that he’s already decided that the two of you can never be together.
And what are you supposed to do if he won’t tell you why?
