Kazuma swallows. Tastes it on his tongue, in his mouth, through his throat. It's sinfully sweet when it slips out: "How drunk are you, anyway?"
Because Ryunosuke is right there, you know. Right there, all warm and flushed against him, little breaths puffing out through his mouth. Had he taken another sip of his drink while Kazuma wasn't looking? His mouth looks wet. As though he had, as though he hadn't wiped his mouth, as though it hasn't dried quite yet. Kazuma could find out for himself.
Ryunosuke blinks. "Uh," he says. Furrows his eyebrows. "Fairly?" A beat. "Why do you ask?"
"No reason."

But it was worth trying anyway, so he put on his command-voice and stated "Very well. Trance. For the rest of the evening, you will now find it easy to break any social mores that you wish."
Barok stilled, and, after a moment, his demeanor changed, opened. An odd intent came to his expression and movement: a powerful, animal confidence.
