There seriously isn't enough about The Thing on AO3 and certainly not enough about my king Kurt Russell. SO I took matters into my own hands.
Basic Summary: Copper gets his niece to come and join them at the outpost for a couple months to assist with some work as she has completed her master's in human biology, and that she needed to drop off supplies to the outpost. So, for the next few months, she remains at Outpost 31, where she's stuck with not only an absolute asshole of a man, but an asshole of a man that makes her question her current relationship.
