Bookmarker's Notes
Oliver and Bruce waited for a response Roy knew wasn't coming. This was the difference between Jason and Bruce, between himself and Oliver. There was a certain sort of protection their mentors had, a safety net that caught them no matter how hard they fell. They always had a way out — money, or charm, or sheer social power. They had never hit rock bottom, not truly. They thought they could solve every problem by themselves. They thought everyone could. That some people just chose not to.
But Roy understood spiraling. He understood desperation. He knew exactly how hard it was to get clean on your own.

Summary
Roy remembers Deathstroke pointing an accusing finger at him. “Keep your fucking dog on a leash.” He’d growled, furious that Jason had fucked up some hit of his, that the target would live another few hours before Deathstroke finally dealt the killing blow.
At the time, Roy had only laughed, hopped up on adrenaline from the explosion, a little terrified of Deathstroke. “You think he’s mine?”

Bookmarker's Notes
Jason protects his autonomy with a level of fury that only comes from someone who’s had it taken away so many times. Roy sees that— he understands it. And he refuses to be yet another person to steal it away from him.

Summary
The Bats are making it impossible for Red Hood to accomplish anything. In an attempt to get them off his back and restore his productivity, Red Hood agrees to a meeting with Batman to talk terms.
Bruce is just happy that his son is willing to talk to him after the mistimed Batarang throw. Sure, he's more than a bit confused why Jason is treating a coffee meetup like a business negotiation, but he'll take any conversation he can get.
Meanwhile, Jason is wrangling intrusive thoughts and terrified out of his mind.
