Draco looked totally lost.
“He’s saying that you either be Viktor’s bitch, or you follow the official school rules like every other transfer student, blondie. No guarantor, no protector. Just you and your frail chance of survivability.”
As all colour drained from Draco’s face, he slowly turned to Viktor for gravity, wishing against all hope that they were just joking, that this was merely a prank for a very welcomed, highly valued guest.
But Krum only pinched the bridge of his nose. One arm was folded rigidly across his chest as he remained perched against the massive oak table, a quiet ball of immensely reserved energy.
He offered no consolation.

And when Hadrian decided to “play,” as he called it, no one stepped in. They all knew that intervening meant sharing the same fate.
