As all colour drained from Draco’s face, he slowly turned to Viktor for gravity, wishing against all hope that they were just joking, that this was merely a prank for a very welcomed, highly valued guest.
But Krum only pinched the bridge of his nose. One arm was folded rigidly across his chest as he remained perched against the massive oak table, a quiet ball of immensely reserved energy.
He offered no consolation.

"...suffocating, dishonest old bastard," Draco hissed, his teeth chattering audibly as he rubbed his freezing fingers against the oversized wool. "Keep me locked up 'for my own good,' right. Like hell. I'll freeze in the bloody Alps before I play pet to another megalomaniac..."
He took another blind step into the room, leaving a faint, damp smudge of blood from his bare feet on the priceless rug.
