“What?” Hyunjin asks, baffled. He knows Seungmin is eccentric, but that came out of nowhere, even for him.
“The café across our academy,” Seungmin huffs, weirdly upset, “they have an ugly bread section. Can you believe that?”
Hyunjin blinks.
“How can they just call it ugly bread and slap a discount on it like that?” Seungmin sighs. “That’s emotional coercion. I walked in for coffee, and now I’m morally obligated to adopt discounted bread with self-esteem issues. I feel personally responsible for its happiness.”

All they had to do to help Jisung with his project, was go to couples therapy and tell the truth. Just the truth. 100% of the truth. Jisung even explicitly stated they should only tell the truth for the experiment to actually work. It was too soon. He wasn’t supposed to go into heat.
Seungmin squeezed his eyes shut and tried to will it away. Not now. Not tonight. Not while Felix was already deep into his own heat. He didn’t want to be the reason everything shifted. Everyone was already doing so much. They were already taking care of someone. Felix needed them more than he did.
If he took the suppressants now, his heat might not hit fully. He could go to work tomorrow, get through the week, and no one would ever have to know. It was the right thing to do.
It was an easy choice to make.
