Summary
After The Battle of New York, newly-unbrainwashed-Loki is staying in the Avengers’ Tower, and everyone is on high alert.
Partly, because they now know that Thanos’ endgame will come soon, when he comes to retrieve the mind and time stones, and partly, because babysitting a 1000-year old teenager is near impossible.
Especially when a “supervillain”’s family bonding time consists of battering their team and indirectly bringing about Earth’s decimation.

Tony Stark had it all. Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist, there was nothing he couldn't do. He was a super hero, an Avenger. He had a tight knit group of friends, all the money he could ever need, fame, notoriety. He had it all.
And then he didn't. At first it was slow, a secret here, a lie there, but things quickly started to add up. Tony was never particularly good at managing his anger. He usually took it out on himself. But after laying his life on the line again and again for the people he thought he trusted, something in him snapped. SHIELD would fall. The Avengers would fall. And he knew just who to go to for help.

Post Winter Soldier but pre Ultron, I haven't seen Iron Man 2 or 3 so I'm just not gonna touch on them at all. Thor: TDW didn't happen (cause fuck that movie), and Loki escaped Asgard after Avengers.
