Archie wakes up crying.
He’s barely a moment too late. The thud of a body, just as he runs toward where he knows Jug will be, instinctively, bone-deep. A figure moving away from him, Betty standing still. A wordless cry that seems to echo forever. Blood, swirling around a shower drain.
(or: archie is trapped in a time loop where he watches jughead die over & over again as reality begins to crumble around him.)
