"My body! That's all I have left."
Alhaitham stares at him in bewilderment.
"What are you-"
"I don't want to owe anymore debts!" Kaveh yells abruptly, clenching his fists. "Nothing in life is free, I know that. I've learned that the hard way. And the last person I want to be indebted to is you."
Kaveh can't pay rent, he hasn't for eight long month, there just isn't enough money. But the last thing he wants is another thing for Alhaitham to dangle over his head.
He initiated it, but still, he never expected to find a new rent contract slipped under his bedroom door with the payment changed from mora to sexual intercourse.
AKA; Alhaitham and Kaveh use rent as an excuse to explore each other's bodies until their greed leads to more than just mere mutual lust.

Summary
“Why are you doing this?” Alhaitham asked quietly. He asked it more to the bowl of soup than to Kaveh himself. Kaveh put a hand on his hip, holding out the spoon for Alhaitham to take.
“What do you mean, why? Like I’m just supposed to leave you to suffer?”
“You’re going to catch… whatever this is. It’s the better choice to just go to work like normal and leave me alone to let it run its course.”
Kaveh scoffed. “Well, that’s just heartless. Would you have left me like this?”
“Yes.”

Kaveh takes care of Alhaitham when he comes home sick - Alhaitham can't understand why he did it, much less how to go about making them even. -

Summary
Tighnari grabs a flower from the table beside him and hands it to Al-Haitham, who stares down at the delicate petals. “Look, you pull the petals off and alternate between saying ‘he loves me, he loves me not’ until you’re left with only the stem.”
“I’m not here to do teenage girl activities.”
“We’re healing your inner teenage girl, Al-Haitham; it’d do you more good to pay attention.”
Al-Haitham furrows his eyebrows and leans forward a little. “I do not have an inner teenage girl.”
Al-Haitham has a crush.

Summary
Dear Al-Haitham,
I propose that we meet this Friday at sundown on the southeast edge of the city bordering Avidya Forest. This is a marital engagement. Please come prepared with your sword at the ready.
With spite,
Kaveh
Al-Haitham sets down the letter, letting out a long sigh. After all, isn’t the answer to dealing with domestic disputes not marriage? Isn’t that entirely contradictory to the issue?
Kaveh sends Al-Haitham martial summons to sort out their issues. Unfortunately, he makes a small error in the letter.
