Summary
The basilisk's venom could destroy a horcrux, a piece of a human's soul, i don't think it would leave the human body THAT quickly. And similarly, the tears of a phoenix. They don't cancel each other out but, the venom damages the body, and tears heal it just as quickly. So, when Harry was trapped against Tom Riddle Sr's grave and the blood was drawn from him and placed into the potion. everything went as planned, until it didn't.
