“Holy fuck, did I take acid?” he asks. Because he’s staring at himself in the mirror, but he is Chrissy Cunningham. Her hair is messy from being slept on, her face is bare of make-up, and she’s wearing a soft pink gown nightgown. It has little white flowers on it and a lace ribbon. He can see her nipples through the thin fabric.

“Nervous?” You ask, chuckling breathily right next to Eddie’s ear, causing him to jump slightly and turn to you. He’d been zoning out for the last ten minutes after someone from the venue had come in and said they were up in fifteen.
“Yeah.” Eddie nods his head and tucks his face into your neck, so you wrap your arms around him and hold him close. You can hear as he takes a deep breath in. You’re wearing his favorite perfume, a choice you’d made consciously when you were getting ready earlier before he had picked you up. “Biggest crowd we’ve ever played for, you know?” He asks as he pulls back and reaches up to tuck your hair behind your left ear.
“I know.” You say back. You’ve been to every show they’ve played, including the ones at the Hideout. In preparation for the biggest crowd they’d ever played, Eddie had recruited a kid from the Hellfire club to help with the merch table. Usually it was your job to sell merch, but tonight he wanted you to be where he could see you. “Just look at me when you’re playing. Like I’m the only one in the room.” You lean down and press a kiss right above his jaw, and then another one on the apple of his cheek.
